Kids today, a little bit of lead in their toys and everyone goes nuts. At Least the toys aren’t radioactive. Or maybe we are looking at this the wrong way, maybe we need the lead covered toys to keep us safe from the radioactive toys.

If companies were people, OLPC would certainly fit the dadmin mold. So it saddened us to read that OLPC would be cutting 50% of their workforce, passing out pay cuts to the lucky 32 survivors, and “refocusing” on their mission.

While some might argue with the value of teaching your little one to randomly mash keys on your computer, it is hard to argue with free. CrazyLittleFingers is a freeware app for Windows that locks the keyboard and blocks mouse clicks (on the primary monitor only for now) and instead of munging up your big business report, junior’s excited and curious key strokes will bring up pictures and sounds (either preloaded or user defined.)
